The inner-city Des Moines Freedom Center, established in 2006, contains nine buildings. The six-acre campus includes a backyard with a basketball court, a large kitchen, wood shop, activity center, art studio, welding shop, bike shop, and more.

The following after school programs are offered for K-12th grade students for the 2019 - 2020 school year:

• Whiz-Kidz (K-5th grade)

• Discovery (6th - 8th grade)

• Journey (9th-12th grade)

PLEASE NOTE: Freedom for Youth is a community partner of the Des Moines Public Schools, so participants are required compete the DMPS new electronic Parent/Guardian Online Release Form to participate in Freedom programs.
